Sneak peak: two new features arriving on Solvoz in July 2025:
1. Smarter, Speedier RFQ Messaging
We all know the difficulties with email chains and missed attachments slowing a tender or market assessment down. Starting in July, every Request for Quotation (or RFP, tender or market assessment) on Solvoz will include real‑time messaging, in‑platform chat; threaded and searchable; linked to the request you’re discussing. Helping suppliers and buyers to save time and reduce misunderstandings during the process.
Why it matters:
- Instant clarity: Ask for a spec tweak or confirm delivery terms the moment the question pops up, no waiting for “next‑day” replies.
- A single source of truth: All Q&A, files, and decisions live inside the RFQ workspace, so nothing gets lost (or forgotten) when you hit “Award.” All available in the audit trail too.
- Fewer missteps, faster awards: When buyers and suppliers share the same context, negotiations turn into decisions, cutting days off your procurement cycle.
2. Enhanced profile search
Also landing in July is a re‑imagined way to discover profiles and (future) partners. We have upgraded how buyers and suppliers can find each other. Our upgraded search engine now surfaces suppliers and buyers by their capabilities, information provided and geographies you need. Building trust with richer, more informative profiles.
Why it matters
- Find good fits, first time: Filter by capabilities, regional presence, etc, or see the matches that tick every box.
- Trust at a glance: Enhanced profiles showcase validated suppliers (and validated requesting actors), so you can shortlist with confidence.
- Grow your network organically: Suppliers get in front of precisely the buyers who need them; buyers uncover innovative vendors they might never have met.
Waste management guidelines and policy recommendations for field hospitals
We’re excited to announce that the our team (lead by Yumiko ABE-SOULIER, Ph.D) has just completed and submitted our contributions to the Horizon Europe WORM project (funded by the European Commission). A multi‑partner initiative designing circular‑economy solutions for humanitarian operations. This document: the Waste Management Guidelines and Policy Recommendations for Field Hospitals, translates research into an actionable roadmap that helps emergency‑medical teams cut waste, lower risks, and protect the environment even in the toughest settings.
Built around an Integral Waste Management (IWM) model, the guidelines move waste management from a back‑office afterthought to a mission‑critical function that’s embedded in procurement, logistics, clinical care, and WASH. Practical tools, including colour‑coded segregation kits, treatment decision trees, and risk‑based monitoring checklists enable field teams to plan, prepare, and execute safe waste cycles while reducing single‑use items, phasing out PVC, and supporting local waste‑picker livelihoods.

📢 New RFQ Open – Emergency Reproductive Healthcare Supplies for Uganda
Solvoz is currently supporting Avoidable Deaths Network (Avoidable Deaths Lab) in the procurement of critical reproductive healthcare supplies for use in humanitarian settings across Uganda. The RFQ covers a range of items including emergency medical equipment, essential medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals.
These products will be assembled into specialised kits designed to support the management of traumatic pregnancies and perinatal complications in crisis contexts.
The Request for Quotation is now open to suppliers with relevant experience and capacity in the region. Full details, including the item list and submission instructions, are available on the Solvoz platform:
This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen emergency response capacity in low-resource and high-risk environments.
