Envelope Requests: When you set up an Envelope Request, you choose either:
- a Closed Envelope: where suppliers submit bids in sealed “envelopes” that aren’t revealed until the deadline, ensuring total price-lock and impartiality, or
- an Open Envelope: where bids are visible to all participating suppliers as they come in, fostering dynamic competition and transparency.
Quick Quotations: With Quick Quotations you can instantly solicit prices for one or two products from any number of suppliers: just select your items, add existing or new suppliers in a couple of clicks, and send out your RFQ. Forthcoming Webinar: Waste Management in Humanitarian Field Hospitals: Towards a More Coherent Approach
Humanitarian field hospitals are essential for delivering life-saving care in crises, yet they also generate significant volumes of complex waste, ranging from infectious materials and pharmaceuticals to electronic and chemical waste. In many contexts, humanitarian organizations must manage this waste themselves, often with limited resources, inadequate infrastructure, and fragmented systems.
This webinar presents the draft guideline on integral waste management in field hospitals, developed under the EU Horizon framework (WORM – Waste management challenges in humanitarian operations) . While grounded in the specific challenges of medical missions, the guideline takes a generic, systems-based approach and draws from various existing technical references and field practices. It proposes a structured and integral approach embedded across planning, preparation, and execution phases. Target audience: medical INGOs and non-medical partner INGOs, European donors, WASH experts
Besides the presentation and discussion moving forward the with guidelines, there will be fire chat presentation by the Swedish Red Cross, Japanese Red Cross Society and Finnish Red Cross – Suomen Punainen Risti. This online webinar, hosted by International Medical Corps, Finnish Red Cross – Suomen Punainen Risti and Solvoz takes place on Tuesday the 5th of June 2025 at 10am to 11:30 (CEST time).
