Announcing a great new feature: auto-translate of content and catalogues!
As was known by many (and being used by you most likely if you are a non-native English speaker) – Solvoz.com has been available in various languages (English, French, Spanish, Ukrainian and Chinese) over the last year. However, this only concerned our tool itself, the application was available in five languages, until now! We have an exciting new feature launched that will support you and your teams moving forward.
Content on our portal, like our open-access catalogue, or your organizational catalogue has always been available in the language it was written in. However, with our new feature, the language editor, you can now auto-translate our content, and your catalogue quickly and easily. You can modify details to improve the auto-translation manually, but it supports many of our users globally providing value of accessing information in our unique catalogue functionality.
Our language features don’t stop there, we are now to open up our technology in more languages upon demand. Which language(s) (global or national)do you need for your teams and organisations moving forward? We would like to hear from you! Contact us today with your requests.
Introducing Valentina our new NGO Partnership Developer

ISO/IEC 27001 Certification and Solvoz
ISO/IEC 27001 is the world’s best-known standard for information security management systems (ISMS). It defines the requirements an ISMS must meet, to manage its information securely. The standard is published jointly by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
Conformity with ISO/IEC 27001 means that an organization or business has put in place a system to manage risks related to the security of data owned or handled by the organisation, and that this system respects all the best practices and principles enshrined in this International Standard. The ISO/IEC 27001 standard promotes a holistic approach to information security: vetting people, policies and technology. An information security management system implemented according to this standard is a tool for risk management, cyber-resilience and operational excellence.
It was long on our horizon to start our ISO/IEC 27001 certification process. With the expansion of Solvoz over the last year (with all new features and the ability to white-label our technology) we are therefore proud to announce that we are in the full process at this moment of going through the certification of this standard. WORM update: Sustainable Procurement Framework Workshop
Last week there were two workshops hosted by partners within Horizon’s Europe-funded project: Waste in Humanitarian Operations consortium (short: WORM project). One of them was co-hosted by DG ECHO and Solvoz, called: towards a common understanding of the sustainable procurement framework.
With over 50 participants joining from donors, NGOs, UN and academia, it provided valuable input for the procurement work package of this 2-year European project. The first results of the survey were presented, and participants were asked to support in prioritization of a framework build upon the work of the UN Sustainable Procurement Indicators and the new Ecodesign for sustainable product regulation of the EU (This new regulation will improve EU products’ circularity, energy performance and other environmental sustainability aspects).
We are thanking Karolina Kalinowska (DG ECHO), Sarah Joseph (Kuhne Logistics University), Yumiko Abe and Claire Barnhoorn (Solvoz) for the preparation and hosting the workshop. The recordings and next steps moving forward on this project will soon be published on the WORM portal.

Did you already participate in WORM Survey: Criteria for Sustainable Humanitarian Procurement Policies? Deadline 15th of July 2024
In recent years, the humanitarian sector has been seeking ways to improve the sustainability of its programs. It is increasingly recognized that procurement and sourcing decisions can be a powerful mechanism for implementing sustainability in the sector. For the WORM consortium, procurement is considered as a gatekeeper towards sustainable humanitarian supply chains.
Did you already participate in the short survey, helping the understand current perceptions of sustainability across the humanitarian sector? It will serve as a foundation for developing the criteria and guidelines. We will not ask you in the survey to represent your organisation but rather to hear your opinion as an actor in the humanitarian sector (asking for NGOs, UN, Academica, Suppliers and Donors to respond).
