Catalysing change week is here! Solvoz will be joining a pannel on transforming how the world deals with disasters. Thursday May 4th @ 14:00pm (CET)
Our CEO Claire Barnhoorn will be joining a pannel on transforming how the world deals with disasters.
The session will open with an introduction of the work of the Catalyst2030 group on Disasters by Alan Braithwaite, the chair of the group.
Claire Barnhoorn will dive into her experience, how she came to create Solvoz as a platform for local sourcing and collaboration to enable efficient procurement and supply chains, the opportunities for technology, and the benefits it is bringing to local economies.
She will be joined by John Kitui from Oxfam, Kenya who will talk about the imperative to localize disaster response and relief as a way to build better resilience and increase efficiency. He will describe how Oxfam is trying to make that change. As well as Issifu Sulemana Jobila from CEAL Ghana that will touch on his experience of the importance of sustainable agriculture in building disaster resilience and how he is working with his local community to improve practice and yields.
